The J. Raffiani concept originated and was developed after years of personal experience and frustration, brought on by endless unsuccessful attempts to buy and wear properly-sized neckties. Incorporated in 2003, our mission statement is simple:

To create a new dimension within men’s fine neckwear by offering high-quality, handmade, 100 percent Italian silk neckties, tailored especially for fashion-conscious men who are under 5 feet 8 inches tall.

When shopping at our favorite retail stores, we often see a necktie we like, but then wonder how it would look with particular shirts that are at home in our closets. At J. Raffiani, we know how important color coordination is to our select clientele. This line of thinking is the motive behind our SuperImposition™ feature, which allows you the opportunity to ensure a proper match between your shirt and necktie — before you purchase the necktie. The process is easy and fun:

2. Simply click on a shirt to view the combination, and to make sure you like the match – feel free to zoom in and take an even closer look!

As you will see when you select an individual necktie for a closer look, we have positioned shirts to the right of each tie that would coordinate well with that particular style. These shirts are not for sale on our website – yet. As a new company, we are attempting to lay a solid foundation through building our client base by offering an accessory that – let’s face it – is simply not available to men under 5’8” in today’s retail environment.

Once we are successful in spreading the word about J. Raffiani, and in selling our neckties, we plan to expand our product line to include not only shirts for men under 5’8”, but also accessories such as shoes, socks, and belts, that are nearly impossible to find in smaller sizes.
